The MB marketing team was using icons from a mix of different resources. To align across all touch points and to create a more branded experience a library of the most commonly used icons was built.

I lead the research and design of the system and produced over 175 icons. Note, these were intended to be more "spot placement illustrations" than material or ui icons.

Initially, a playful outlined icon was developed to match our illustrated library. Our brand at the time leaned on the idea of “human touch” and brush strokes and lines were part of our visual identity.

We moved away from that system and a cleaner, flat approach was implemented.

The icon library evolved overtime as the business needs changed. What started off as a set off icons for marketing eventually morphed into brand icons across marketing, web, and product. Below is the library of icon components organized by category with descriptive names for easy searching.
